It all started with a search for a vintage bike that would make a stylish commuter. My daily commute is only a mile, so weight wasn’t a factor. The quest to find the bike was dragging on and on until I stumbled across this Schwinn. A guy across town was selling it and after seeing the razorback top tube I knew I had to have it.
All together with some updated parts the bike cost about $400. I was going for a clean cruiser look with the bike, thus the white wall tires and foam grips. She is setup with a 18 tooth in the rear and 40 in the front. I had the shop take off the outer ring and that left us to use the inner chainring, it worked out perfectly.
Cheers!
