I feel like the UCI is to the cycling community as a Dictator is to his or her country. It seems they can do whatever they please, even after being consulted multiple times. If I was Contador or Specialized I would be pissed. Still in the dark? Read…

Armstrong In Trouble?

It seems the French want a taste of Mr. Armstrong’s blood. Hmm, sounds good to me. Of course he is crying out saying he is innocent. Rules are rules Lance. You can’t go around breaking them. The fact of the matter is the tester showed up and you aren’t allowed to leave their site. However, you did. You went to go take a shower. What else did you have time to do?

Lance Has Made Me Pissy.

This morning I found myself on Livestrong.com. I was looking at Lance’s most recent doping testing. (Doping testing is that stated correctly?) Any who, I became mad reading the responses to this. Does every American blindly follow him? Come on people look to the mountain stages to see that this man was doping. Hmm, non-doping Lance dropped doping riders in almost every mountain stage…..I think not. Yes he is a great athlete, but that is just not plausible.

I have thought to myself many times, why doesn’t google offer a feature on there maps to show common bike trails. People have started to mark them on Google earth, but nothing on Google maps. In my monthly newsletter from bikewalk.org there was an article about it.
It seems that there is a petition that is going out to google about getting this done. Sign away!

I read about 5 paragraphs before becoming uninterested. However, there might be some point to the story. Read if you must. Remember I just find them I don’t endorse them.

Green Lights for Miles
Posted by phillikw under Articles | Tags: City Traffic, Copenhagen |Leave a Comment
The Green Wave is something I have been reading on Copenhagenize.com. The city has setup two routes that are marked with a speed limit, lets say 15mph. If a cyclists goes this speed they are gaurentteed to hit all green lights from the out skirts all the way into the center of the city. Using this concept they have seen slower and faster riders match the flow of traffic. This has made cycling in the city safer and easier for everyone.
I know this is same concept that America uses with traffic lights, but this is for cyclists! Even better right…
Here is the full article for your enjoyment.
