Well, I finally shelled out the $165 for my messanger bag. I have been reluctent to do so for the past year, but the freebee bag was no longer cutting it (aside from getting razed at the office). I have a business trip next week and called Timbuk2 on Monday to see if a custom bag would get here in time. On the phone, whoever, I spoke to was ultra nice and said that if I opted for overnight shipping I should get the bag by next Monday.
I am happy to say the bag come yesterday!!! I put my order in mid Monday and it was in my hands by 1pm on Wednesday. I’m still in shock. The bag is gorgeous and functional. It looks and feels like it could with stand all the abuse you can throw at it. The stitching is nice and neat and everything looks very well made. Hell even the fedex bag it came in was a map of San Francisco. I will certainly be buying another bag from them very soon! (the girl needs one…)
